My main influences include Susan Cooper, Alan Garner and Neil Gaiman who all, I believe, reached the pinnacle of interweaving weird worlds with our own.

I always have a pile of unread books at my bedside, run so that I can eat what I want, and am aware that my brain is more full of trivial film knowledge than is healthy.

I live in Oxfordshire with my wife and son, and a cat called Sam and a dog called Otto.
